The community of Bangor is passionate about providing all children the opportunity to succeed and achieve their dreams. As the principal of this wonderful school, I believe this success is attributed to the tremendous students, teachers, and families in this community that we are lucky enough to call home.
The Abraham Lincoln School staff is privileged to work with compassionate, motivated, and hard-working students on a daily basis. Thank you for instilling these qualities, as well as other great qualities, in your children. The modeling that you provide for them is commendable and appreciated.
We are fortunate to have wonderful people involved in our community and school system. The support for education in Bangor is unmatched and one of the greatest gifts we can give our children. As you know, three of our foundational priorities for the Abraham Lincoln School are that students will be safe, fed, and warm. These priorities allow our students to learn and grow socially, emotionally, and academically.
The Abraham Lincoln School PTO has always donated winter clothing items to any of our children in need. Over the years, several individuals have donated a variety of items to our school. We have received monetary donations for food and snacks, books, clothing, hats, mittens, and gift cards to help families who may have fallen upon difficult times. I have seen these acts of generosity passed on to our youngest community members as they have donated as well! I want to thank all of you for being the foundation of our great city.
Let’s show our Bangor spirit, wear our colors, and continue to be rising stars in our community. We will be celebrating Bangor Day on Tuesday, December 22 by wearing our red and white. Thank you again for all of your work and stay healthy and well.
Best Wishes,
John Tennett
Principal
