Dear Abraham Lincoln Families:
I wanted to take a moment to say hello and introduce myself to the new families of the Abraham Lincoln School. My name is John Tennett and this is my tenth year as the principal of the Abraham Lincoln School. I have grown up in this community and feel fortunate to be able to raise my three children in the great city of Bangor. This community has always maintained a strong commitment to its children and has valued education. I cannot overstate how invested I am in ensuring that every child at the Abraham Lincoln School has a tremendous educational experience.
I am extremely proud to be the principal of such an outstanding school community. This school community has the reputation of caring parents, hard working students, and a dedicated staff. I, as well as the entire Abraham Lincoln staff, will work tirelessly to provide the best education possible. Effective communication, positive school climate, and hard work will help to enhance the learning environment at the Abraham Lincoln School. I am confident that by working together we can create a successful educational experience for all children.
I want to thank all families for their patience and understanding with the delay in classroom placements and all of the various changes that have taken place through these unprecedented times. I have truly enjoyed our conversations and Zoom sessions to share thinking, answer questions, and continue to build strong positive relationships with one another. I am looking forward to a great school year and a continued partnership with families.
