Dear Families,
As the school year has come to a conclusion, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for all of your efforts and support during this challenging time. Our staff is truly humbled to have been able to work with your children and your family during this unconventional time of learning. Although it was not always perfect, I am proud of the resiliency and persistence of our students and families. When the children were able to walk through the doors at the Abraham Lincoln School they demonstrated kindness, ambition, respect, and a desire to make this school and the community a better place. These qualities continued seamlessly into the virtual learning platforms. We are extremely proud of all of our students and the amazing work they do each and every day.
I would like to take the time to recognize our third grade students and their families for the contributions they have made to the Abraham Lincoln School community. They have been leaders, learners, and friends, as they have developed relationships that will last a lifetime. Our third grade students are ready for their next challenge and our teachers and staff wish them all the best. As families, your efforts have been appreciated throughout the school year in helping to provide a positive home to school connection.
In closing, the Bangor School Department will continue to provide updates as we move forward with planning for the fall. You will also receive teacher placements in July as we continue to plan for the upcoming school year. Thank you again for all of your support and patience as we continue to work through this process. Have a happy, healthy, and safe summer!
Best Wishes,
John Tennett
