February 5, 2018
Dear Abraham Lincoln Families,
We appreciate the opportunity to work with your children every day! Students are working hard, kind, eager to learn, and always putting forth their best effort. It is difficult to believe that we are already approaching February vacation and the school year is past the halfway point. We are looking forward to continued growth in all areas. Teachers are busy preparing lessons, working on professional development, and providing a high quality educational experience. I would like to thank parents for their tremendous support as we continue to build relationships and foster student growth. We would also like to welcome Karen Collins as a long-term substitute secretary. Mrs. Collins is a familiar face to the Bangor School Department as she worked in the same position at the Downeast School for many years. I am including some important upcoming dates and reminders that will help to provide a safe educational experience.
February 6— Kindergarten and Pre-K Registration (This is for new students only. Any student that is already enrolled does not need to attend. Please call the school if you have a child that needs to be registered and you are unable to attend.)
February 15—3rd Grade Concert (5:30 @ Abraham Lincoln School)
February 19-23—No School (February Vacation)
March 13—PTO Meeting (6:00)
March 15—Academic Showcase 5:30-6:30
March 23—TENTATIVE DATE Healthy Kids Night/Family Dance (Physical Education)
April 9-12—Book Fair
*More information will be sent home as these dates approach.
*As a reminder please be sure to not bring pets on to the school grounds, and I would also ask for your assistance in not parking in the bus pick-up area before and after school.
Thank you again for all of your cooperation and continued support!
